Easter Service

Understanding the symbolism of Easter enhances our ability to celebrate it. It is no coincidence that Easter happens in the spring. The story of the Passion, death and resurrection of Jesus is most easily understood in agrarian times. The quiescent season of winter gives way to the season of spring — New Life. Easter reminds us all that we need a time to rest in God, appropriating and digesting the spiritual nourishment we have stored within, then, gathering the strength we need to come back to life at a higher level. Together, we celebrate with the great Alleluia!
