THAT’S NOT SIN- IT’S SEPARATION

When we’re not aware of our connection to the life energy within us, we show signs of decay and deterioration. We worry, we stress out, we lose our tempers.

Rather than curse the darkness and condemn ourselves as sinful, we have only to turn on the light of awareness and re-connect with the Source of our Being. There’s no such thing as sin- only a sense of separation. And even that isn’t real! Now, that’s some Good News, yes?

“From Worship to Worth-ship”

“From Worship to Worth-ship”

The word “worship” is derived from the Hebrew word meaning “to lick at the heels like a dog.” No wonder so many people don’t want to go to church these days! No one wants to feel like a dog, licking at the heels of a distant deity, begging for scraps of attention and food. Luckily, Unity has a whole different take on our relationship to the divine!

When YOU experience your own unique Oneness with the transcendent, creative flow of the Universe (God, by Its full name!), the world becomes a better place. Come to Unity this weekend to experience your WORTH-SHIP and make the word a better place!

Using Prayer for Guidance

Using Prayer for Guidance

Have you ever gone to talk with a friend, seeking  a sounding board so that you might more clearly hear what it is you desire to understand?  Then, if you     listen carefully, you realize that you are trying  to  convince that friend that decision you’ve already made is the right one. Our prayers for guidance are often just like that. Too often, they are merely exercises in manipulating our own minds and emotions.  True prayer for  guidance releases the answers that are already within us.  It  requires letting go of what we think we want, and being willing to embrace the higher vision we truly have for our lives.  This higher vision is the Divine Inspiration within us desiring to express more fully as us.
